Under the 11th EDF bi-national Programme, Caribbean Export along with its bi-national partners is committed to support the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Dominican Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FEDOCÁMARAS) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Haiti (CCIH), signed in 2015, with the aim of promoting an appropriate framework for the development of economic and commercial relations between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

In this sense, FEDOCÁMARAS and CCIH are seeking to develop a training program for SMEs in both countries to encourage and promote the development of Dominican and Haitian merchants, channeling practical training to strengthen the continuing education of various productive sectors of the DR and Haiti.

Consequently, this intervention seeks to contract the services of consulting companies to prepare and deliver a training program to CCIH in the areas of Agriculture, Business and Exports. Likewise, the Program will be launching in parallel a similar consultancy for the Dominican Republic, led by the FEDOCAMARAS, with the aim that at the end of both consultancies a joint activity will be carried out to deliver certificates and exchange of good practices between the members of the chambers of both countries.

Overall objective:

With this project, the CCIH wishes to stimulate and promote the professional development of Haitian merchants, focusing on practical training in order to strengthen the continuous training of various productive sectors of Haiti, such as entrepreneurship, agriculture, BPO , service industries, manufacturing.

Specific Objectives/Results

This consultancy seeks to implement specialized educational programs in which participants develop skills and abilities that they have not learned technically/professionally to take their business to the next level.
