Caribbean Export Development Agency ( Caribbean Export ) is seeking a consultant to review and analyze the strategic plan of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Haiti, identify priority areas for technical assistance and develop a schedule of activities to be carried out in order to operationalize the Ministry’s strategic plan. In order to complete this assignment, the consultant(s) will review the strategic plan developed by the Ministry as well as other secondary data and studies carried out on the Ministry itself.
The consultant is expected to deliver the following results:
- Report 1: Inception meeting report – This report will capture agreed timelines, the methodology that will be used to undertake the study and any potential changes to the project design that would have been discussed at the inception meeting;
- Report 2: Intermediary Report – This report will cover the work completed to date and information on the outstanding work to be completed. The report must include a summary of the research and consultations done for validation by Caribbean Export and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Haiti; and
- Report 2: Final Report – This final report will present an operational plan, results, findings and an analysis of the research conducted.
All reports must be submitted in French and Spanish.
Submission & approval of reports
The deliverables outlined in Section 2.2 must be submitted to the Project Expert – Haiti. All deliverables must be submitted in French and Spanish. The Deputy Programme Manager of the 11th EDF Haiti-Dominican Republic Binational Programme: Trade and Private Sector Component will be responsible for approving the deliverables. The work produced by the expert(s) will be owned by Caribbean Export and all members of the Steering Committee.
