The Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) has received financing from the World Bank under the Entrepreneurship Program for Innovation in the Caribbean (EPIC) to pilot an investment facilitation model that enables early-stage Caribbean enterprises to raise capital from private investors, primarily business angel investors. In the Caribbean, MSMEs (micro, small, medium enterprises) often experience difficulty accessing finance to propel the development of their firms. Through LINK-Caribbean, firms within the CARICOM region (namely; Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago) can receive technical and/or financial support in an effort to increase their competitiveness regionally making them more attractive to investors.
Caribbean Export, the executing agency, now wishes to procure consultancy services for a Country Advisor to Trinidad and Tobago. The objective of this consultancy is to find viable investment opportunities, or deal flow, within Trinidad and Tobago for the LINK-Caribbean project. Caribbean Export now invites interested persons within Trinidad and Tobago to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of these consultancy services. In the assessment of EOIs, consideration will be given to (1) Understanding of the project requirements; (2) Qualifications and skillset; and (3) Specific professional experience. All information must be submitted in English. Please see attached Terms of Reference for further details.
Proposals together with a resumé should be submitted electronically (no more than 9mb) to: cm[email protected]carib-export.com copied to [email protected] by 4:30 pm AST on January 23rd, 2018. Please ensure that you are in receipt of an acknowledgement of delivery prior to the stated deadline.
The subject line of the electronic mail must read ″LINK-Caribbean – Expression of Interest – Trinidad and Tobago Country Advisor″
Caribbean Export reserves the right to accept or reject late applications or to cancel the present invitation partially or in its entirety. It will not be bound to assign any reason for not short-listing any applicant and will not defray any costs incurred by any applicant in the preparation and submission of Expressions of Interest.
