Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) screened its first sports documentary ‘Built-to-Last’ at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival on Monday September 24, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Little Carib Theatre. The 52 minute long film chronicles the achievements of the region’s athletes over the past five decades and features such athletes as Olympic Gold Medalist Keshorn Walcott and Jamaica’s Yohan Blake, among others. The film will also serve as part of a new initiative by the Agency to position sports as a driver of economic development for Caribbean countries.

The screening of the film was followed immediately by a Round-Table discussion on the theme “Sports as a Driver of Economic Development”. The panel was moderated by Pamela Coke Hamilton, Executive Director of Caribbean Export and included key experts in the area of the business of sports from Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica. This Round-table session lasted approximately 45 minutes and included a question and answer segment.
