2nd Caribbean Design Network Planning Meeting
-The Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) is hosting the 2nd Meeting of the Caribbean Design Network (CDN) on December 9 - 10 in the Dominican Republic. This meeting is a follow up to the inaugural February 11 - 14 meeting in Jamaica.
The objectives of this meeting are to:
• Review the progress of formation of the National Design Networks
• Arrive at a shared view of the role of designers in promoting Caribbean design
• Operationalise the website of the Caribbean Design Network (http://www.acuteinnovation.com/CDI)
• Develop an action plan for “Design Forum 2010”
According to Veona Maloney, Manager Core Services, Caribbean Export, “The meeting will focus on the Role of the Designer in Promoting Caribbean Design. Discussions will also be held on the development of the Action Plan for the Design Forum 2010.”
