The Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export), in collaboration with the Bahamas Association of Industry and Commerce (BAIC), is sponsoring the Management Consulting Business Symposium scheduled to take place in Nassau, Bahamas from May 18-20, 2009, at the British Colonial Hilton.

In May of 2008, Caribbean Export undertook an initiative to formulate strategies and action plans for the development of the management consulting profession in the Caribbean. The America’s Hub Conference held in Barbados during November 2008 represented a significant milestone towards the accomplishment of that objective. As a follow-up to the America’s Hub Conference, the economic summit is intended to bring together members of the Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants (CICMC) with Bahamian management consultants, in order to chart a regional strategy for advancing the industry. Further, this gathering of strategic thinkers will be useful in addressing national economic challenges in a way that identifies how management consultants can integrate themselves into part of the solution. Finally, the economic summit is intended to advance CICMC members on the path to the CMC designation by providing the Essentials of Management Consulting Training.
