CARICOM has sought to expand economic relations with Latin America and increase market opportunities for exporters in the region through negotiated bilateral agreements. A Free Trade Agreement with Costa Rica was signed in 2004, a Trade and Investment Agreement with Venezuela in 1993 and a Trade, Economic and Technical Co-operation Agreement with Colombia in 1995. It has also concluded a free Trade Agreement with the Dominican Republic in 1998 and a Trade and Economic Co-operation Agreement with Cuba in 2000.

Caribbean businesses with viable export products or services and well researched strategies may find good prospects for joint ventues, mergers, production sharing and general preferencial access in these countries. For further details on the various agreements click on the country name below:
