The Regional Media Workshop is scheduled to take place on November 12 and 13 in Grenada. The Workshop is geared towards heightening the media in the region’s awareness and understanding of the CARIFORUM‐EU EPA, by focusing attention on how the private sector is being positioned to make use of the agreement plus the progress that it has made in leveraging it. The workshop is intended to provide the media with a clearer understanding of the kinds of support being extended to firms by regional institutions enabling the media to translate, in a tangible fashion, how the EPA can work for enterprises. The workshop has been designed specifically so that attending media have a better appreciation of both the opportunities and challenges associated with the regional private sector leveraging the EPA.
It is expected that following the workshop journalists will be better equipped to source success stories from regional businesses, that are able to or have utilized the opportunities arisen from the agreement.
