Background
The Women, Creation and Production 2013 Trade show is organized by “Voix Essencielle” -Femmes en Democratie, a Haitian non profit organization www.fed.org.ht.
This trade show is an international handicraft fair promoting Haiti’s creative industries by providing a platform for Haitian women entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase and sell their products, among others, via “Direct to retail”. It is also is a unique opportunity for buyers to review and access innovative, handmade, fair trade products for the upcoming tourist and cruise season.
Proposal for Assistance
Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export), under the “Haiti-Dominican Republic Programme of Bilateral Economic and Trade Cooperation in the Context of the CARIFORUM-EC Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) funded by the European Union under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) (FED/2012/295-834) will be contributing a maximum of US$1,200 for airline ticket to buyers/Importers from CARIFORUM and the EU interested in attending this trade show. This intervention is focused on creating business opportunities between Haiti and DR suppliers in the framework of the EPA.
Interested companies must complete the attached Expression of Interest form and submit all required documentation to Caribbean Export. Submissions must be addressed to:

Expressions of interests must be submitted no later than April 15, 2013.
Interested participants are also required to provide additional documentation with the Expression of Interest Form as follows:
- A company profile not exceeding two hundred (200) words
- Completed Application form
All applications are subject to approval of acceptance by a Selection Committee.
Criteria
Firms must:
- Be a Registered Company or Business Name
- Be in operation for at least two years
- Demonstrate business growth and profitability
- Have sufficient financial and human resources to secure orders
- Comply with relevant international standards (if applicable)
- Have sound financing to support follow up activities
- Demonstrate awareness about market conditions in the intended export market(s)
Please note that for this event, Caribbean Export will only cover the costs relating to Airline tickets on economy class and through the most direct route up to a maximum of 1,200 US$.
