The ACP-EU Partnership Agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for ACP-EU relations under which the project is integrated.

Within this framework, the BizClim projects aims at nurturing a partnership amongst inter alia the Caribbean partners on one side, and the Confederation of European Business (UNICE), the European Services Forum (ESF).

It will contribute to establishing a dialogue platform both between the public and the private sector within the region and between the region stakeholders and relevant counterparts in Europe.

The regional stakeholders of the programme consist of:

• The Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC)

• The Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM)

• The Caribbean Export Development Agency (CE)

The project includes four components:

• A study of constraints to EU-Caribbean business

• A preliminary study tour to 5 European countries

• A visit to Europe by up to 30 Caribbean business executives to develop export/investment opportunities on September 15-19, 2008; and

• An EU/Caribbean Business Forum in the Caribbean November 24-26, 2008
